Tehran, Baku underline boost of security ties

Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli held separate meetings with the Head of State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan Medet Guliyev and Chief of State Border Service of Azerbaijan Republic Elchin Guliyev Isa oglu.

During his meeting with Guliyev, the Iranian interior minister said that certain regimes including the Zionist regime and powers like US are provoking extremism in the region.

Iran is ready to convey its experience on intelligence and security fields to the Azerbaijan Republic, Rahmani Fazli noted.

Meanwhile, Guliyev said that Baku respects Iran’s sovereignty.

He called his recent visit to Iran as satisfactory and thanked Iran’s support for Azerbaijan Republic stressing that regional conflicts are resulted from outside interference.

Also in his meeting with Isa oglu, the Iranian minister referred to the Iran-Azerbaijan borders as the borders of peace. He urged boosting of border cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
