Head of the visiting South African delegation Sima Saratha in a meeting with businessmen from Alborz Province, 35 km northwest of Tehran, expressed Cape Town's readiness to bridge the Iranian province and Balkan countries.
Meanwhile, South Africa economic attaché in Tehran Sarah Din said the country's businessmen are enthusiastic to have trade ties with Iran. The official added that it is a good opportunity for Tehran and Cape Town to identify and benefit from each other's capacities.
Moreover, Head of Alborz Province's Chamber of Commerce Rahim Bana Mowlaie said for his part in the meeting that the province had high capacities in textile, pharmaceutical, medicine, food, dam building and automobile industries and could cooperate with South Africa.
Referring to the Payam international cargo airport as one of the privilege of the province, the diplomat added that the airport facilitates trade with Africa via cargo planes.
A delegation of businessmen from the province has already visited Johannesburg and Cape Town and signed some agreements with their African counterparts.
