Romanian trade minister calls for investment in Iran

In a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador in Belgrade Hamid Moayyer, he highlighted the two countries’ historical ties as well as his country’s enthusiasm for bolstering economic relations with all countries including Iran.

Iran’s envoy, for his part, referred to long-standing ties between the two countries on the basis of mutual respect, saying that remarkable growth in commercial exchanges in 2016 as well as during the first half of 2017 and successful visit of the two countries’ foreign ministers to each other’s capitals signify excellent ties between the two sides.

Romanian environment minister's successful trip to Tehran and signing memorandum of understanding on environment and the country’s agriculture minister’s visit to Iran and paving the way for signing collaboration documents on livestock and making arrangements for setting up of Iran-Romania Joint Economic Commission after 13 years will help bolster mutual cooperation, Moayyer said.

During the meeting of the 16th Iran-Romania Joint Economic Commission slated to be held in near future in Belgrade, memoranda of understanding on joint investment committee, protocol of cooperation between the Iranian port of Shahid Rajaei and Romanian port of Constanța, also collaboration on road maintenance and livestock will be signed.

The two countries’ sports and youth ministries as well as interior ministries are slated to ink agreements during the upcoming meeting.
