In a meeting with Ivory Coast Foreign Minister Marcel Amon-Tanoh on Friday, the Iranian diplomat added that there exist appropriate potentials for economic cooperation and bolstering commercial exchanges between the two countries in the energy, oil and gas, agriculture, health and treatment and transportation sectors.
Shakib-Mehr voiced Iran’s readiness to share its experience in those fields with Ivory Coast.
Meanwhile, Tanoh said that bilateral ties are at appropriate level and Abidjan is prepared to hold joint commissions within the next months.
Expressing willingness to visit Iran, he hoped that arrangements for Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s trip to Ivory Coast would be made in the near future.
Tanoh was appointed interim foreign affairs minister when Albert Toikeusse Mabri was dismissed in November under a cabinet reshuffle.
