Official: Laying pipelines of South Pars’ phase 14 starts

“Pipe-line laying operation for 32-inch pipeline of Platform 14 of South Pars covering a length of 103 kilometers has kicked off,” Hamid Reza Massoudi said on Thursday.

He noted that digging for wells of Platform 14E will be completed in three months, and said, “By completing the phases for construction of Platform 14C in yard of Iranian Marine Industries Company (Sadra) in Bushehr and Platform 14E in yard of ISOICO industrial company each with an exploitation capacity of 500 million cubic feet of gas and afterwards completing the digging operations of wells and pipeline-laying of the two platforms the conditions will be set for exploiting gas equal to standard phase of South Pars reservoir in the second half of next year.”

Phase 14 of South Pars with the aim of daily production of 56.5 million cubic meters of sour gas and 75,000 barrels of gas condensates in currently underway in Pars Energy Special Economic Zone.

Also the annual production of over 1 million ton of liquid gas, 1 million ton of ethane for supplying the petrochemical units and daily production of 400 tons of sulfur is among other products of this phase.

The implementation of Phase 14 project is currently underway by a consortium comprising Iranian companies of IDRO, Iran Industrial Projects Management Company, MAPNA, Payandan, National Iranian Drilling Company, ISOICO and Engineering Company and Marine Structures Construction of Iran.
