Minister: Contracts with Boeing, Airbus to be finalized soon

Akhoundi made the remarks during a press conference on the sidelines of the 22nd International Press Exhibit in Tehran.

Representatives from the major aircraft manufacturers are repeatedly travelling to Iran and the contracts will be finalized in the near future, the minister said.

In drawing up the contracts, Iran is pursuing the maximum transfer of technical knowledge which includes how to repair, maintain and manufacture some spare parts, he added.
