Kyrgyzstan eyes access to open waters through Iran

'Apart from Bandar Abaas, Chabahar Port is also one of the those ports that gives access to the open waters and we hope we can reach an agreement in this regard,' Nuran Niyazaliev, First Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs said in a meeting with Iranian Roads and Urban Development Minister Mohammad Eslami on Sunday.

The Kyrgyz official said Iran's routes are very cost-effective and can give the Central Asian country access to open waters.

The Iranian ministers also stressed that Kyrgyzstan can use all the Iranian ports based on rule and regulations.
