Mohammad Baqir Beigi said governments of both the countries and business communities should play their due roles in this regard.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Senior Vice President of Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI), Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi who called on him.
Talking to the Pakistani businessman, Iranian Consul General said the business between Pakistan and Iran has the potential of expansion to $ 5 billion.
“Iran attaches great importance to promotion of friendly and commercial relations with Pakistan,” the Iranian envoy added.
The Iranian Consulate, he continued, is ready for provision of all possible facilities to business community of Khyber Pakthukhwa with the objective of promotion of bilateral trade between the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, both sides also exchanged views over increasing cooperation for promotion of cultural, social and literary activities through Iranian Consulate.
