
The talks were held by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour and Indian State Minister of External Affairs M. J. Akbar.
Iran is the SCO observer.
The talks also focused on the latest regional developments in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Akbar described India-Iran cooperation in the international, regional and bilateral arenas as 'positive,' calling for expansion of the relations.
The Indian official further referred to oil, gas, transit and transportation as well as project for development of Chabahar port as the fields of cooperation between New Delhi and Tehran.
Trilateral agreement on Chabahar port has been signed by Iran, Afghanistan and India in Tehran late May.
