Iran to produce oil equipment: Petroleum Min.

Talking to IRNA, Zangeneh said, “Petroleum Ministry has long-term programs to support domestic production, an example of which is the plan to produce 10 staple items in the oil industry; most probably two major items will be produced before spring, including CRE pipes.”

He said that alongside producing CRE pipes, grounds will be prepared for making Iran self-sufficient in the field of CRE pipes production.

He pointed that Iran has a plan to produce ten sets of oil industry equipment to make the country capable of meeting 85 percent of the oil industry demands.

The plan to produce 10 sets of equipment for oil industry was introduced in early 2015; it aims at reinforcing domestic capabilities and depending more on Iranian manufacturers to meet the oil industry demands, including: wellhead equipment, downhole completion strings, downhole pumps, drilling bits, control valves, and different types of pipes.
