The forum hosts 200 participants from different countries and organizations, including Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) who represents Iran.
Officials from Chinese Culture Ministry, Foreign Ministry, and Transportations Ministry partake in the event.
China organizes such meetings to gather different countries in order to promote plans and future visions on ‘One Road One Belt’ project, which is also known as Belt and Road, and cement the political, media, cultural, trade and economic ties among the countries.
Since 2014, four editions of the media forum have been held with the attendance of media officials, heads of press institutes, trade forums, and scholars.
