Speaking on the sidelines of the Joint OPEC/Non-OPEC Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) in the Algerian capital, Kazempour Ardebili said, “We welcome the cooperation of all countries and the aim of our presence is for cooperation on the conditions of the market.”
Iran will still continue with its oil production, Kazempour Ardebili said.
Referring to US President Donald Trump’s stance on the oil market and OPEC, the official said that Trump rudely interferes in the Organization’s affairs and aims to take ransom from some member states.
“Trump claims that these countries are subject to threat while no one is under threat in this region,” Kazempour Ardebili said.
The 10th meeting of Joint OPEC/Non-OPEC Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) opened in Algiers on Sunday morning.
Representatives from some 24 countries, including Iran, are present in the Committee session which is chaired by Saudi Arabia.
Kazempour Ardebili leads the Iranian delegation to the Committee.
