According to the latest report released by the Organization for Development and Renovation of Mining and Mining Industries of Iran (IMIDRO) based on World Steel Association (WSA), Iran produced over 6,369 million tons of steel in 2017.

In a meantime, 64 steelmaker countries have produced 575.155 million tons of steel during the period.

China, with production of 288.969 million tons, is currently the major producer of steel in the world in the first quarter of 2018.
