Iran ready to export technical, engineering services to African counties

Vaezi made the remarks in a meeting with several African officials on the sidelines of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum in Geneva.

Touching upon the importance of communications and information technology (IT) for the progress of the countries, he said IT plays a pivotal role in creating job opportunities and economic growth.

Pointing to Iran’s latest achievements in IT arenas, Vaezi said the Islamic Republic is exporting its technologies to several African countries.

He added that Iran is also keen on exporting its Iranian software to the African countries.

Inaugurated in Geneva on June 12, the WSIS is slated to be wrapped up on June 16.
