The announcement highlighted the banking problems as a result of the international poisonous political climate and hostile US sanctions against Iran and the nation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding that the embassy has been vigilant in recent times, as well as in the current situation. It has been trying to work with the Korean authorities to resolve these issues.
The Iranian embassy in South Korea said in the statement that unfortunately, the government and banking officials in South Korea are refusing to provide any reasonable and convincing response and postpone the review and resolution of the matter to the future.
The statement by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Embassy in South Korea noted, 'It is appropriate for students to continue to reflect their complaints and dissatisfaction with the bank's and university officials of South Korea, as surely the transfer of these protests to higher authorities to persuade them to find a way a solution to this problem will be effective.'
The statement expressed the hope that follow-up measures in Seoul and Tehran would lead to a solution to the problem and would resolve the concerns of our fellow citizens.
At the end of the statement, the Iranian embassy underlined that it will continue its efforts and actions to secure the practical and desirable outcome, in keeping with its intrinsic duty in protecting the rights of Iranian and compatriots living in Korea.
