Iran, Oman to hold economic commission meeting in Muscat

Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari departed Tehran for Muscat on Monday evening.

In his one-day visit to Muscat, Shariatmadari is to attend the commission meeting as well as holding talks with Oman Deputy Prime Minister for international cooperation Asaad Bin Tariq al-Said and Minister of Finance Darwish Bin Ismail al-Balushi.

Holding a meeting with Omani trade activists and ground breaking ceremony to build an Iranian school in Oman are among other programs of the Iranian minister.

He is also to visit Iran's trade center in Oman.

Trade exchange level between Iran and Oman was 577 million dollars past year and in the first two months of this year the figure was 159 million dollars.

The 16th joint Economic Commission Meeting was held in Tehran in September 2016.
