Through good decisions made by ombudsman, people's rights are safeguarded, Head of the General Inspection Organization of Iran (GIO) Nasser Seraj said at an international conference of Eurasian Ombudsman Association in Moscow on Wednesday.
A good Ombudsman can fill the gaps which are the cause of racial, gender, religious and sexual discrimination in various societies, the Iranian official noted.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, head of the General Inspection Organization of Iran met with Prosecutor General of Russia Yury Chaika and the two officials explored various avenues for fighting corruption and crimes.
Seraj arrived in Moscow on Wednesday to attend the Eurasian International Ombudsman Association.
