Iran not concerned for importing needed goods: Official

Mohammad Saeedi made the remarks speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony where 97 students were graduated from Imam Khomeini University of Maritime Sciences in the northern Iranian city of Noshahr.

“With appropriate insurance coverage of trade shipping fleet, we allowed no disruption in the country’s exports and imports,” Saeedi said.

He assured that the Iranian ships have no problem for commuting in international waters.

Noting that 90% of the world trade is being made through sea transportation, he said that the officials need to equip the country with the latest world technologies to rid the Iranian people from smart sanctions which are aimed at crippling the country’s economy.
