Iran, India, Russia looking for new ways of cooperation in Moscow

At the beginning of the meeting, Iran's Ambassador to Russia, Mehdi Sanaei, addressed the audience, ”The contribution of the three countries in regional projects and development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation are more important than ever”.

He noted that issues such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the International North-South Passage, and the project for transit of Iran's gas to India, with the participation of Pakistan and Russia, are important regional initiatives for the three countries.

Sanaei added that there are plans that the three countries of Iran, Russia and India participate in them.

“The two summits of heads of Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan have been held in Baku and Tehran, where the international North-South Passage has been examined.

Sanaei said North-South Passage is important for Iran and Russia, adding, “I am sure India's participation in this route will also be of great significance to the country's government.”

The Iranian ambassador to Russia continued to comment on signing agreements between Iran and Russia in facilitating visa issuance, adding that such agreements have been signed by India in the past.
