Iran IKIA becoming passenger hub in region essential

The capacity of the Terminal 1 is about 5.5-6 million passengers per year but over 10 million ones are transported, managing director of Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) Shahram Adam Nejad said.

Salam Terminal with capacity of 5 million passenger will be launched this year, he said.

Launching Iranshahr terminal will help changing IKIA into regional hub, he added.

IKIA is the primary international airport of Tehran, the capital city of Iran, located 30 kilometers southwest of Tehran, near the localities of Robat Karim and Eslamshahr and spread over an area of 13,500 hectares of land.
