Iran, Ghana hold 6th joint economic commission meeting

The Iranian delegation accompanying Minister Hojjati in this 3-day meeting included 60 members from private and public sectors in the fields of trade, agriculture, economic, customs, energy, transport and construction.

The 5th joint commission was held in Tehran in 2014.

Agricultural Jihad Minister Mahmoud Hojjati and the accompanying delegation arrived in Accra on Monday evening and were welcomed by Ghanaian officials and Iran's Ambassador to Accra Nosratollah Maleki.

Ghana in west of Africa has a population of 27 million and most of them are Christian and around 17 to 20 percent are Muslims.

Ghana became independent in July 1, 1960.
