Iran, Algeria to develop economic, industrial ties

In the meeting the two sides discussed ongoing industrial cooperation between the two countries.
The ambassador submitted message of Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Ne’matzadeh to his Algerian counterpart.
He presented a report on Iran’s industrial and technologic progresses and the latest in bilateral relations with Algeria and its growing trend in the past two years such as production line of Iranian cars in Algeria, and underlined Iran’s firm intention for strengthening cooperation.
He invited the Algerian minister to pay a visit to Iran, which was accepted and welcomed.
Mahjoub Bada, who was appointed as new minister of industry last May, appreciated friendly message of his Iranian counterpart and explained new Algerian government's approach toward industrial cooperation with foreign partners.
Algeria intends to minimize dependence on oil and to diversify its revenue resources, seeking to strengthen ties with Iran, said the official, adding that his country supports presence of Iranian companies eager to work in industrial and mine fields in the country.
Following second joint economic commission meeting in Tehran last December headed by Iran’s first Vice-President and Prime Minister of Algeria, many different economic and industrial delegations shuttled between the two countries and many agreements were reached.
