German Businessman: BayWa Company in Iran since sanctions era

Uwe Schroder made the remarks in a joint meeting held between 12-member German trade, investment delegation with governor general and businessmen of North Khorasan province.

Schroder said 'our company is familiar with Iranian market and we already had trade exchanges and are interested to expand our trade ties' with Iran.

'We believe Iran is a big power in the region,' Schroder said, adding, 'Wheat production in Iran is much more than Germany.'

Iran in production of saffron, pistachio and egg has good position as well as in auto industry, which is the first in the Middle East region and strategically is very important.

Schroder pointed to his company as one of the largest grain producers and seller company in the Middle East and added that we are interested to expand our business with North Khorasan province.

The German delegation arrived in Bojnourd on Monday morning and was welcomed by Governor General of the province Mohammad Reza Salehi and a group of economic officials and activists of the private sector.

In early March, a delegation from North Khorasan province had visited Germany and France headed by the governor general and a group of economic activists of the private sector and they introduced investment opportunities of the province to European industrialists and investors.
