France officially delivers 4 ATR72-600 planes to Iran

Managing Director of national flag carrier, Iran Air, Farhad Parvaresh was present in the ceremony on Tuesday.

All planes will be imported to the country by Wednesday.

Following the JCPOA and lifting of sanctions as a result, an MoU was signed by Iran and Italian French ATR company for purchase of 20 planes.

Under the deal, the ATR will build 20 modern ATR72-600 planes for Iran and they will be used in all the domestic flights.

Based on a related report, Acting Minister of Roads and Urban Development Asghar Fakhrieh Kashan told IRNA on Tuesday that the four planes will land in Tehran's Mehrabad Airport as of Wednesday.

He said all the planes will head for Tehran from Toulouse of France.

Fakhrieh Kashan added that all the advance payments for the planes had been paid to the French Italian company and the remaining 80 to 85 percent will be paid in the form of foreign finance.
