“One of the big oil companies, which trusts to invest in Iran, has recently started its activity in our country delivering this message to other countries that Iran is a stable and secure country to bring their financial assets to,” said Hamid Tahaee, Alborz Province Governor.
Iran’s National Oil Company (NIOC) on July 3 signed a multi-billion-dollar agreement with an international consortium, headed by Total, to develop the phase 11 of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.
The $ 4.8 billion deal is the first major gas and oil agreement since anti-Iran sanctions relief after the implementation of the historic nuclear agreement between Iran and the world major powers.
“A country famous for the latest technology in various realms has recently announced its readiness to share all its scientific achievements with Iran,” Tahaee also added.
After the landmark nuclear deal between Iran and the world major powers and the European Union (P5+1+EU) on July 14, 2015 which recently passed its second anniversary, the willingness for investment in Iran has increased and several foreign companies have expressed their readiness to start working in Iran and many others have already started.
