First shipment export of tile by rail loaded from Yazd

Seyyed Mostafa Davoodi said that the tiles were exported by utilizing facilities of Amirabad Railway in Mazandaran province.

Davoodi said the cargo weighed about 1,155 tons and sent by using 21 cargo wagons.

'According to negotiations with the owners of goods, in the near future 21 tile wagons weighing 1,300 tons will be loaded to the port of Amirabad in Behshahr for export abroad,' he added.

Yazd Railways Director General said that the province is the country's largest ceramic and tile manufacturing hub with plans to attract and carry cargo using the fleet of railroads.

In October 2018, for the first time, a thousand tons of Yazd steel mills were loaded from the Bafq Mobarakeh railway station from Tabriz destination for export to Turkey.
