Iranian authors nominated for Hans Christian Andersen award

The literary award of Hans Christian Anderson, also called the Little Noble Prize, is an international prize given to children literature authors every two years by International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) to raise children literary and artistic levels of literature.

The award, given each year to two groups of authors and illustrators, has borrowed from Danish author Hans Christian Anderson, whom we often know him with his 'The Ugly Duckling'.

After months of examination and consultation, Book Council introduced Farshid Shafiei in the Illustration section and Farhad Hassanzadeh in the writing section (for the second time) as the Iranian nominees of Hans Christian Andersen 2020 World Award to IBBY.
