Matta made the remarks Sunday on the sidelines of visiting Rehabilitation of Forest Landscapes and Degraded Land Project (RFLDL) in South Khorasan Province.

FAO is linked with natural resources, environment and sustainable rural development, he said.

Matta referred to Iran good's progress in food safety, optimizing water consumption and preserving natural resources, and said, 'The organization is to continue cooperation with Iran in these cases.'

He went on to say that based on the document signed between FAO and the Iranian government 'we should implement RFLDL project in South Khorasan and in Kerman' as well.
