Tehran hosting Japan handicrafts exhibition

In the opening ceremony, the Minister of the Embassy of Japan and Head of Iran International Affairs of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organizations Behzad Nezhad delivered speeches to the audience comprising diplomats, artists and enthusiastic people attending the ceremony.

The exhibition is established in cooperation with Japan Foundation, one year after earthquake and tsunami disasters in Tohokou on 2011, which has attracted the attention of the participants.

The purpose of conducting the exhibition is to introduce the ancient and beautiful handicrafts of Tohoku which has been forgotten in the modern epoch of Japan.

Various works made of ceramic, designed with Urushi, colored, metallic and made of bamboo wood have been presented in the exhibition.
