The four-day meeting is to discuss different aspects of ECO activities among which are trade, investment, transportation, and communication within Specialized Committees.
Ambassadors and experts of the member states attend the council.
RPC prepares ECO’s policies and programs according to Treaty of Izmir and the guidelines of the Council of Ministers (COM) and submits it to COM through the secretariat.
ECO was established in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey which was later joined by seven new members: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to facilitate the economic, technical, and cultural collaborations of its member states.
