East Azarbaijan ready to develop economic ties with UK

Jabbar Zadeh made the remarks Saturday in a meeting with British ambassador to Iran Nicholas Hopton.

During the meeting he pointed to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's remarks as stressing on the 12th government serious determination to develop relations with other countries.

Iran has no limitation in absorbing foreign investments in East Azarbajan, he said.

The province with $ 1.5 billion foreign investment ranked second in the country last year.

Jabbar Zadeh also expressed interest to take advantage of British firms in renewing food industry and car parts manufacturing industry as well.

He also referred to information technology (IT), Information and communication technology (ICT) and new technologies as other topics for maintaining cooperation with other countries.

He also extended hope for the UK mission cooperation to accelerate the process of developing relations.
