Cooperation with Iran will never stop: Austrian company CEO

Reinhard Nowotny, who has traveled to Tehran to take part in the 13th International Exhibition of Water Industry and Water and Wastewater Installations, added that removal of sanctions against Tehran has smoothed the way for cooperation.

As to US President Donald Trump's recent statements on the Iran nuclear deal, the reaction by the White House to the 2015 deal is illogical, Nowotny said.

It is an international agreement which has been accepted by Washington and the United States cannot change stance regarding the accord, he added, referring to the landmark international agreement, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

'We will continue our engagement with Iran,' the Austrian CEO said.

The 13th Water Industry Exhibition attended by 258 Iranian and 105 foreign companies ended late on Thursday.

European firms, including those from France and Germany, during the four-day exhibition, signed cooperation memoranda of understanding in a bid to expand their engagement in Iran water industry.
