At a workshop of Non-oil Export of Markazi Province and in a meeting with a group of entrepreneurs in industry and agriculture Danny Annan said, “We have great hope for investment in Iran and [especially] in Markazi Province.”
Annan said, “In the past two years commercial exchanges between Iran and Denmark have grown … and 6 Danish companies have reopened their offices in Iran.”
Saying that in spite of huge oil and natural gas reserves, Iran is going after renewable energies to increase its income through export, he added, “Renewable energies are an important part of opportunities for Denmark in Iran.”
He added, “Having a strategic role in the world in the field of renewable energies, Denmark pays close attention to Iran.”
The Danish Ambassador also said that the petrochemical industry of the province is a part that Denmark pays attention to.
Markazi Province is located in central west of Iran. It is double size of Denmark. Its capital is Arak and its population is estimated at 1.41 million. The word ‘markazi’ means ‘central’ in Persian.
