The four-day exhibition devoted to the theme of 'A Road – A Belt, Negotiation, Joint Construction and Operation' was held by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iran and China on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the sixth consecutive time.
'Iran has participated in all previous exhibitions and the people of Shin Jiang are familiar with Iranian products,' said Maryam Sadat Samayanifard, Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iran-China, on Iran's participation in the exhibition.
Referring to the fact that the Iranian products are welcomed in this region, she said that Iranian exporters have presented handmade carpets, nuts and saffron.
Samiyanifard, regarding the status of transportation of goods from Iran to Urumchi, also stated, 'Due to the proximity of Urumchi to Iran, the goods will be shipped by air, but in the future we can follow the export through the Yi Wo- Tehran train route.'
The secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Iran and China added, 'Iranian businessmen are keen to export their goods, but they also need to be supported on this basis, provided that they are able to expand their business opportunities in this region.'
