Central Bank Head: Inflation rate to become single-digit

“Despite the achievements in the last four years to continuously decrease the inflation rate and efforts made for retaining it, Valiollah Seif said, the last month (Persian calendar, May 22-June 21) rate of 10.2 percent was an indication of existing risks threatening the achievements in the curb of inflation.

Urging the policy-making bodies of the country to be cautious, he expressed hope that boosting monetary and financial disciplines would change the inflation rate into a a single-digit figure.
