Baku seeking to increase trade with West Azarbaijan

'The increase of trade and industrial exchanges between West Azarbaijan and Azerbaijan Republic is the main goal of the trip,' said Otay Asadov on Wednesday after entering Orumieh.

He added, 'On this one-day visit we will have bilateral meetings with Azarbaijan's economic authorities to promote cooperation in different fields.'

According to IRNA, Asadov and his accompanying delegation were to visit 'Maral Industry plant' and its development phase after visiting the capacities of the firm.

Head of the Azerbaijani National Assembly met with senior Iranian officials, including his Iranian counterpart and President Hassan Rouhani, on Tuesday and expressed his satisfaction with the development of political relations between the two countries.

Although the development of relations between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan has always been emphasized by the presidents of the two countries, it seems that these friendly and neighboring countries are still far from reaching a bilateral turning-point.
