Belozerov told a ceremony on Monday that the fast transportation is due to electrifying of Garmasar-Incheborun railway.
He said per an agreement signed with Iranian state railway, the project will be complete in four years and fourth months.
Once the project is complete, Iran's economic and trade ties with the neighbors will expand, said the official.
He added that cooperation will expand with Iranian railway. 'We hope the railway will affect expansion of economic and trade exchanges in the Caspian littoral states.'
Meanwhile, Sergey Pavlov, General Director of Russian Railways (RZD) noted that Garmsar-Incheborun railway is one of the most important railway projects for transportation of transit cargo on east of the Caspian sea, passing four Iranian provinces.
Pavlov said upgrading safety is one of the most important indices of thee railway and Russian Railway will fully guarantee its safety will all its facilities.
He said the Garmsar-Incheborun railway electrifying project is one of the important projects of Russia in Iran and cargo trains can move on it with a speed of 120kms and transport up to 10 million tons of cargo a year.
Pavlov added that the 1.2 billion euro project will have more than 90 tunnels on north-south corridor.
