Veteran Iranian poet Hamid Sabzevari passes away

Sabzevari was known for his revolutionary poems and verses advocating the Islamic Revolution.

He composed many well-known poems and verses during the years of revolution and sacred defense the most famous of which was the one sung in a chorus upon the historic arrival of the late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini to Iran from exile in 1979.

He was honored as a chevalier of culture and arts during his lifetime.
