
The meeting was made while Dotsenko toured IRNA Headquarters in the Iranian capital.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the agency's English News Desk, Dotsenko expressed satisfaction over her 'fruitful' talks with IRNA chief.
She said the two sides had touched on future plans between IRNA and UNIC and also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this end.
UNIC is eager to expand relations and cooperation with IRNA in sharing information and exchange of visits, Dotsenko added.
Referring to IRNA cooperation with UNIC in the field of providing the latter with photos of seven out of eight UN chiefs, she said it was part of a previous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two sides last year.
She stressed that UNIC welcomed IRNA plan to hold photo exhibitions in New York, Paris, Vienna, and Geneva.
Referring to IRNA-UNIC cooperation in line with the sustainable development goals, Dotesnko said, 'We plan to work day to day' to provide information on UN and on UN news.
UNIC is to provide IRNA with all other information about UN agencies worldwide and about UN performance in Iran as a founding UN member.
Elsewhere in the interview, Dotsenko referred to IRNA as a big agency having good cooperation with the UNIC.
She had a press conference on Tuesday with senior editors from IRNA and other agencies.
Dotsenko also hailed presence of a large number of women among IRNA staff, noting women working for IRNA are very professional, efficient, enthusiastic, well-prepared, dedicated and energetic.
