Ahmadzadeh told IRNA on Wednesday that due to upcoming hot season and the possibility of spreading chiclero ulcer in the border point, a meeting was held between Iranian and Turkmen border officials in Iran on June 13.
In the meeting which was participated by communicable disease prevention experts from Golestan University of Medical Sciences, Turkmen side said that Turkmenistan health officials would participate in the next meeting on August 24, 2016.
He added that based on the statistics, about 400 people in Gonbad-e Kavus suffer from this disease.
Chiclero ulcer is a skin infection caused by a single-celled parasite that is transmitted by the bite of a phlebotomine sandfly.
