Tremor rocks northern Iran

According to the seismological center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the quake occurred at 12:30 hours local time (8:00 GMT).

The epicenter of the quake was registered at 39.69 degrees latitude and 53.44 degrees longitude and it happened in the depth of 11 km underground.

The closest cities to the earthquake are more than 250 km away.
