‘The Color of Paradise’ to be screened in Pakistan

'Mandwa Film Club' is organizing the film screening at 'Pakistan National Institute for Folk and Traditional Heritage' (Lok Virsa) media center in Islamabad.

Earlier talking to IRNA, Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) Film Club Coordinator Aijaz Gul said that Iranian cinema has been one of the main enthralling and appealing cinema industry in the world and has gained special status among the world’s cinema industry with its unique and innovative film directing techniques.

He said that Iranian films are regularly shown in different Pakistani cities in which people show keen interest.

Gul added that Majid Majidi is a true professional director who knows how to produce quality films.

‘Rang-e-Khuda’ (The Color of Paradise) came out in 1999. Like previous films of Majid Majidi, it won many prestigious awards at several international film festivals.

In this film Majidi again demonstrates his ability to express in cinematic terms some of the deep stirrings we have about life. As with his two immediately preceding films, Father and Children of Heaven, the relationship between a young boy and his father plays a significant role in the narrative.

‘Rang-e-Khuda’ is remarkable because it touches you deep inside with a griping story and strongly carved out yet simple characters.
