Tehran Symphony Orchestra Iran's cultural envoy: Iranian Musician

Pointing to the Italian great musician Maestro Riccardo Muti presence in Tehran as the conductor of the joint performance of Ravenna Festival with Tehran Symphony Orchestra, Rouhani added that hosting one of the greatest conductors of the world along with a number of Italian top musicians is a rare promising event for Iran.

Noting that the performance would also take place in the Italian Ravenna festival as one of the most respected musical festivals in the world, Rouhani said that the musical event at such a high level, involving other countries’ cooperation is unprecedented.

Italian and Iranian artists will perform together in Tehran on July 6 and in Ravenna on July 8.

“The kind of transaction is of great importance in Iran’s cultural diplomacy ,” he said, adding that the event shows Iranian young artists' abilities are at such a high level that they can cooperate with their European counterparts.

“Iranian cultural ambassadors can clear world public opinion of the fake news on our country, as, unfortunately, the fabricated negative news about Iran is still spreading in the world; a problem which can be overcome by cultural diplomacy,” Rouhani added.
