In a meeting with Azeri Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, he said that the two countries boast of good facilities for cooperation in the fields.
Hashemi, who is currently in Baku at the head of a delegation comprising state and private sector officials, further noted that currently Iran is in an excellent position in the region in terms of scientific and professional capabilities.
Referring to Iran’s achievements in the field of healthcare, he added that health sector has been one of the major priorities of the incumbent government, as its budget has increased by 205 percent over the past years.
Babayev, for his part, described ties with Islamic Republic in various arenas including treatment and social welfare as important, saying that the two countries have similar achievements and problems in the field of rehabilitation.
Ever-increasing political and economic relations between Tehran and Baku require a boost in the other spheres including treatment and social welfare, he said.
Hashemi arrived in Baku on Thursday at the head of delegation on an official two-day visit to the country.
On the first day of his trip, he held talks with his Azeri counterpart Oktai Shir Aliyev and Economy Minister Shahin Mostafayev.
