Southeastern tremor injury toll reaches 25 people

Some 16 injured were treated at accident site and 9 others were transferred to hospital, Head of the public relations office of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari emergency department Mohsen Ebrahimi told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday.

An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale rocked Naghan city, Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari province.

According to the seismological center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 20: 07 hours local time (15:37 GMT Sunday) in an area located at 50.72 degrees longitude and 31.92 degrees latitude and in the depth of 10 kilometers.
