In this ranking also, Sharif University of Technology has been announced as the best university of Iran in the fields of chemistry and physics (natural sciences), computer engineering, civil engineering and mechanical engineering (engineering and technology) and statistics and research in operations (Management area).
Abdul Reza Simchi, director of international affairs department of at Sharif University evaluated this success as a result of the performance of professors in teaching and research and promoting the level of international cooperation.
He added that in the thematic ranking of the past year, Sharif University of Technology was successful in only one comprehensive field and three disciplines, but in 2018 it was ranked in two broad fields and nine disciplines. In addition, the university's credit rating index has been improved in various fields of engineering, basic science and management.
