President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday nominated new ministers to take the helm of the economy, labor, industry and roads, as his administration faces mounting pressure to stabilize an economy thrown into turmoil by mismanagement and renewed US sanctions.
Former minister of industry, mine and trade, Shariatmadari resigned from his position on October 20 and President Rouhani accepted his resignation.
Afterward, he named Shariatmadari as proposed minister of cooperative, labor and social welfare, who won vote of confidence from Majlis to take the helm of the ministry.
