Serbian students keen to learn Persian Language

Ljiljana Marković made the remarks in a Friday meeting with Iranian ambassador to Serbia Hossein Molla Abdollahi.

She said that the Faculty of Philology is trying to establish Persian language courses for the students.

Molla Abdollahi also pointed to the cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries as crucial in reinforcing all-out cooperation.

He referred to the 80th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between Iran and Serbia, expressing hope for Persian language course to be inaugurated soon.

Marković, heading a six-member delegation, is scheduled to have a trip to Tehran to develop academic and scientific cooperation.

Over 150 Serbian students have so far taken Persian as their second language.
