Serbian PM pays tribute to Plasco collapse victims

Vucic offered condolences to the Supreme Leader, Iran's government and nation on the tragic incident and wished prompt recovery for the injured.

Vucic said Serbian people are standing with Iranians and expressed his country readiness to dispatch help.

In a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Belgrade, Hossein Molla-Abdollahi, Vucic called bilateral relations 'growing' and called for their further development.

The ambassador appreciated the prime minister and said presence of many officials, elites and ordinary people of Serbia in embassy to extend condolences indicated closeness of the two nations and hope for upgrading of the relations.

Fire erupted in the 17-storey Plasco Tower on Thursday, January 19, and then after few hours the total building collapsed and may firefighters were buried under the debris.

So far, seven bodies have been discovered from the rubbles.
