Promotion of media ties enhances Iran-China relations: IRNA chief

He made the remarks in a meeting with Deputy Director of China's State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Tong Gang.

IRNA chief called for promotion of all out ties between Iranian press, publication, radio, film and television with their Chinese counterparts.

Media should help increase understanding between the Iranian and Chinese nations, Khoddadi noted.

The official referred to enemies’ hostilities and noted that enemies aim to question Iran and China sovereignty.

Khoddadi hailed China progress in all fields, including economy and media.

He praised China’s fair stance towards Middle East developments and its stances during the nuclear talks between Iran and G5+1.

US and other enemies of Tehran and Beijing cannot affect strong relations between Iran and China, he said.

Khoddadi offered holding joint photo exhibitions, training courses and inking cooperation document between the two countries’ media.

He also lauded China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative, adding that against the US war-mongering policies, china has adopted peace-seeking policies in the region.

Deputy director of China's State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, for his part, said that Iran and China have always enjoyed historical friendly relations.

Gang voiced hope for enhancement of all-out ties between Iran and China and called for sharing experiences between the two countries.

He also welcomed holding joint photo exhibition as well as exchange of news and photo between IRNA and Chinese media.

Managing director of the Islamic Republic News Agency met with China’s Xinhua News Agency President Cai ming Zhhao on Thursday.

Khoddadi travelled to Beijing at the invitation of the Chinese government to take part in the second non-governmental forum of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) which opened in China’s capital on Wednesday.
